Three Peaks Challenge

Three Peaks Challenge

Associate Partner, Jack Battersby has successfully completed the Three Peaks challenge this weekend to raise money for a charity close to his heart. In cold, wet and windy conditions, Jack, along with 9 others travelled the length of Great Britain passing through Scotland, England and Wales to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. In total these three mountains amount to an ascent of over 9,800 feet which was completed by the team in under 24 hours, including travelling time.

Speaking after the Three Peaks, Jack said "This challenge was without doubt one of the toughest things I have ever done. We experienced horrible weather, extremely strong winds and temperatures below freezing! I am pleased to say that our team has raised a fantastic amount of over £3,500 for Stand Against Violence. This will allow SAV to continue with the excellent work they do."

Stand Against Violence was founded ten years ago by Adam Fouracre. Adam's brother Lloyd was a close friend of Jack and was killed in 2005 by a mindless act of violence, the night before his 18th birthday. Stand Against Violence is a specialist violence prevention charity which is focussed on educating young people about the consequences of violence.

Any donations or support you can offer can help SAV continue and further develop their valuable work. Your support enables them to reduce violence through education. If you would like to sponsor Jack and the team then it is not too late. Please visit the Stand Against Violence fundraising page to make a donation:
